Panhandle Mental Health Center (PMHC) officially began on February 1, 1969. At that time, the clinic was staffed by a psychiatrist, chaplain, clinical psychologist, psychiatric nurse and a secretary. PMHC addressed the need for community-based services in this rural setting and was the first mental health center in the State of Nebraska.
From this relatively small beginning, PMHC continues to grow both in terms of staff and the services that are provided. Today, approximately 110 individuals are employed with PMHC and our programs cover a full range of outpatient services.
PMHC's main office is located at 4110 Avenue D in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and we maintain satellite offices in Alliance, Sidney and three additional Scottsbluff locations.
