Mission Statement: The mission of this home is to create a healthy living environment for men early in their recovery from drugs and alcohol, and support their recovery journey through communal living, 12-step and treatment attendance, employment in the community, and strengthening of accountability and responsibility to the regular maintenance and upkeep of their home.
Purpose: The purpose of this clean and sober living home is to provide residents a semi-structured living environment free of drugs and alcohol where the men can focus on establishing a solid foundation in their recovery journey. The house is located in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
Each resident residing in the “Foundation” Recovery House is responsible for a security deposit and monthly rent which covers a portion of the costs to operate the home. Weekly each man must attend and participate in a House Meeting reviewing the upcoming week, identifying chores, discussing recovery, and other related items. Residents are required to honor the established curfew, attend a specific number of 12-step and other treatment-related meetings weekly, and follow established Resident Rules.
Each resident is encouraged to make a commitment of 6-12 months.
Donations are greatly appreciated. This home is not supported by government funds and is designed to be a self-sustaining community throughout its development. Community support through monetary donations (made payable to PMHC Foundation [501(c)3 non-profit], 4110 Avenue D, Scottsbluff, NE 69361, and earmarked Foundation House) will be utilized to purchase basic furniture and home décor, as well as startup supplies (cleaning supplies, personal hygiene care, groceries, etc.) Tangible donations are also being accepted. This is a community effort, supporting a community disease in which recovery and wellness are community benefits!
